Mastery Club (extra credit) And Letter to Self Extra Credit
For those of you deciding to do the Letter to Self JOURNAL OF AWESOMENESS (hopefully you said that in an all powerful voice- because that's the way I was saying it as I was typing!) go to this page to see lots of downloadable worksheets to fill out and add to your project, as well as hints and additional ideas on things to add for each section.
Remember this project is only as good as you make it out to be. You definitely want to put in even the minimal amount of effort and at least complete the packet. Trust me! As everyone else is getting back this amazing project as a senior and you are standing alone in a corner because you didn't a) do it at all OR b) turn it in, you will be regretting it big time. Don't be that guy! Make this project amazing and you will appreciate it in years to come.

How to Advance Through a Playlist on Sophia.org
As we move into a more self-paced unit, some of you independent readers are going to want to move ahead in the videos. I am putting all of the videos in a playlist on sophia.org for the novel Night. Think of the tutorials as the daily lesson in class that we have "flipped" and moved home for homework. The tutorials are then put into a playlist, or a unit of study. You can move through the unit of study at your own pace! See the diagram below to see how you do it! You just click in the top right hand corner of the playlist to move to the next concept/lesson! Good luck as you start this journey on your own (well some of you!) I am excited to see how you do with this unit!

New Unit, Historical Fiction
Students have really enjoyed this unit in the past, as it is something they have not previously learned about. I have found that these readings are some of the more difficult- higher level text complexity- they will read all year yet the engagement and comprehension remains high. I am excited to start this unit with you!
